Enthusiasts attending a cycling exhibition had their knowledge of a premiere European pro bike race tested via an interactive iPad quiz that featured photos and video clips.
Event games are used to attract a show’s visitors to your booth so you can collect contact information for future purposes. That’s the tactic used at the Vélofolies cycling exhibition in Brussels. To generate traffic to the next edition of the international Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne cycling race’s promotional booth, race promoters invited attendees to play an interactive game. They quizzed participants about the highlights and legacy of the pro bike race using an interactive Survey Anyplace quiz loaded onto two iPads. Participants competed for VIP tickets to the actual race.
“In total, more than 200 event visitors competed for the tickets using the mobile Survey Anyplace game, ” says event organizer Jeroen Meeuws. “We incorporated video clips into the quiz to make it even more appealing and fun. When contestants finished playing the event game, their answers were uploaded automatically via a wirelessly networked computer on site. That allowed us to process and manage the scores from the games in real time. The Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne game was a hit, ” adds Jeroen Meeuws, “and we plan to do the same next year on Vélofolies.”
Building quizzes, questionnaires and surveys for smartphones and tablets is uniquely simple, since Survey Anyplace was built specifically for mobile devices. On the Survey Anyplace site, users choose a template, choose between question types and write their content. Each survey or quiz can incorporate video and/or still photographs and even audio files for unique and engaging games. For a totally branded look, you can upload your organization’s logo as well.
“What we liked very much was that no one needs to download an app to take the quiz we created with Survey Anyplace. Engaging visitors was as easy as handing them one of the iPads, and that was basically it.” says Meeuws, “Everyone intuitively knows how to interact with the Survey Anyplace screens, putting in their answers and swiping to the next one. It was all very simple and very quick. Using these games, we collected information on more than 200 attendees with very little effort.”
