Convert CSV to Excel
After you’ve downloaded the CSV file, it’s time to take a look at the results. We know you’re excited to see them, but don’t immediately open the downloaded file, because it’s a CSV and will look like this:
To convert your CSV file to an Excel file, execute following steps.
First open Excel. Then go to the tab Data and choose to Get External Data ‘From Text’. Choose the file you’ve downloaded from the software.
After you’ve chosen your file, a screen will appear depending on your Excel version.
Is you have the latest Excel version you will see the screen below. Make sure the Delimiter is set to Semicolon. Click Load.
If you have an older version of Excel you will see this screen:
Underneath ‘Choose the file type that best describes your data’ you see two radio bullets. Choose Delimited. Click on Next to proceed.
Add Semicolon to the Delimiters by checking the box. You’ll see the Data preview change. Click on Next to proceed.
The Column Data format should stay on General. Complete by clicking on Finish.
Now you have successfully exported your CSV file to an Excel file! Don’t forget to save.
