What is Google Analytics?
Google Analytics is a freemium web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google Analytics is currently the most widely used web analytics service on the Internet.
Why use Google Analytics in a survey?
There's already a lot of data being captured by Survey Anyplace, the additional information captured by Google Analytics will allow you to make analyses across different channels. Are there discrepancies between your website visitors and your social following, for example.
Currently, you can't see where someone leaves the survey since it technically doesn't consist of multiple pages.
How to activate Google Analytics
To make GA run on your survey, you first need your Google Analytics Key.
You can find your Google Analytics Key by going to the Admin section in Google Analytics. You can get here by clicking on the gear wheel in the bottom left corner.
Once you're on the admin page, go to property > Tracking Info > Tracking Code.
Here you'll find your Google Analytics Key, under Tracking ID, it will most likely start with UA.
Now that you have your key, it's time to return to the Survey Anyplace platform. Access your survey and go to the extra options > settings screen.
Here you'll find the Google Analytics feature. Turn the Switch to Yes and enter your key.
