Translations for email templates
When you’re reaching out to respondents that use different languages, nothing is more important than being consistent in your communication.
So make sure that, if you provide a survey or quiz in their language, you follow up in their chosen language as well.
Work with Email Templates that you can send out after a survey or quiz was taken and create them in all necessary languages via Translations.
1 Get started
Create a new quiz or survey by clicking on the orange + Create New Button.
Add your first question by clicking on the green Add First Question + button.
2 Set your Email Templates
First things first: after you’ve created your entire survey or quiz in your default language, create the Email Templates in that default language as well. We’ll get back to creating the translations in step 3.
Go to Extra Options and choose Email Templates.

Halfway there! If you have a survey/quiz in one language that sends an email to the respondents afterwards, you’re ready to add Translations.
3 Adding Translations to your survey
When you work with translations, you still only have to distribute one URL to all of your respondents. When they open the quiz/survey they’ll get a menu where they can choose their own languages out of the languages you’ve added to the survey/quiz.

Get started by clicking on Extra Options and selecting Translations.

If you’ve completed step 2 correctly, you’ll notice that ‘Email Templates’ is listed in the drop-down menu of the new language you’re adding.
4 Translating your Email Template
Add your translations for the email message you want to send.
Make sure every empty field has some text in it.
When you’ve worked with Email Variables (e.g. a first name: *|CF1|*), you can copy these from your standard template you see on the left.
When you’re all done, re-check if the new language is complete. It’s completed when the ‘x’ is changed to ‘v’.
Tip: If the language doesn’t appear on the menu (or the ‘x’ next to Compete Language doesn’t change), you probably missed a label or text. Check them again and complete the Translations in order for the language to appear.
Click on Preview to test the translated version of the survey/quiz you created and check your mailbox for the email templates you added.
Congratulations, you’ve made a quiz/survey in multiple languages that sends an email to the respondent, depending on his or her answers and in the language they selected!
